🛡️ Bidly Buyer Protection
Pay through Bidly's card checkout and you're covered if your item doesn't arrive or isn't what the listing said. Paying a seller directly by PayPal isn't covered — the money goes straight to them, so check their ratings before you buy.
What's covered
- Item not received — it hasn't arrived 14 days after the seller's estimated delivery, or no tracking was added.
- Not as described — it's significantly different from the listing (wrong item, undisclosed damage, counterfeit).
What's not covered
- Payments made outside Bidly's card checkout — including the direct PayPal option, bank transfer or cash. These go straight to the seller, so Bidly can't refund them.
- Collection-only items once you've collected them.
- Changing your mind, or issues clearly shown in the photos or description.
How to claim
- Message the seller first — most problems are sorted quickly.
- If it isn't resolved within 3 days, use 🚩 Report on the item page and choose "Item not received" or "Misleading description".
- Claim within 30 days of the estimated delivery date. Keep the item and packaging, plus photos.
- We'll review and aim to decide within 5 working days. If you're owed a refund, it goes back to your card in full — item, postage and Bidly's fee.
For sellers
Add tracking, describe items honestly and show any flaws in photos. When you post an item, add proof of postage — a photo of the receipt or parcel plus the tracking reference — on the item page. If a buyer reports an item as not received, our team reviews that evidence when deciding the claim. Sellers who repeatedly get valid claims may be suspended or banned.
